SOC Quality Assurance Inspector in Hawthorne, Nevada
This position is for a Quality Assurance Inspector for the Hawthorne Army Depot. Current SOC collective bargaining agreement employees will be considered for the position first.

Monitor shipping and receiving activities to assure all operations and procedures are performed in accordance with Federal, State, DOD, and military regulations and laws; Standing Operating Procedures and Internal Operating Procedures, Ensure documentation is complete, correct, and accurate. Has the authority to stop unsafe operations when warranted.
Determine if item(s) being shipped are prepared, palletized, marked, etc. in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures. Examine Ammunition Transfer Records (ATR's) for completeness and accuracy as required. Prepare incoming Material Inspection Plan for all material inspected. Inspect incoming material in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
Participate in quality assurance audits and surveys in production area. Ascertain conformance to engineering and quality requirements and compliance with customer or DOD specifications. Recommend changes in operational methods and procedures to comply with product requirements. May formulate quality assurancel operations sheets to aid inspections.
Perform magazine inspections to include magazine data card accuracy, storage drawings compliance, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms requirements(BATF), stock stability, compatibilities, Depot Improvement Plan adequacy, plan-o-graph accuracy, location, count, lot numbers, and housekeeping. Monitor shelf life items and assures items are being rotated.Responsible for reporting potential real environmental concerns to the Environmental Service.

May be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above. Education: Minimum high school or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of eighteen (18) months related experience.
Certifications:Must be able to obtain and maintain all training required in accodinance with the SOC Master Training Plan.
Licenses/Registrations: Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver’s license unless physically unqualified to obtain such a license.Must be able to obtain and maintan a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, Government Secret Security Clearance, and a Common Access Card (CAC).
Other: Must be able to perform work duties, routinely, in a safe and effective manner, remaining alert and aware of potential work/safety hazards at all time, and especially alert while performing safety sensitive duties.
