ConvaTec Denver, CO Associate Territory Manager in Carson City, Nevada

Purpose: The Associate Territory Manager reports to the Regional Manager and assists Territory Manager(s) to provide support and drive sales. If successful, this role will eventually lead to formal territory responsibility as a Territory Manager. The Associate Territory Manager must be willing to relocate anywhere in the U.S. upon the company’s request, to assume responsibility for an open territory.

Job Duties:

  • Participate in new hire home office based training as well as field based training.

  • Build strong customer relationships through routine visits, product in-services and providing answers and resolutions as needed.

  • Work closely with Territory Manager(s) and Regional Manager to evaluate account activity and prescribing trends.

  • Assist with training and in-servicing for medical staff and support personnel.

  • Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Collaborate with inside office staff to service patients and facilities.

  • Continually strive to improve sales skills by using the SPIN Selling Model and accept coaching by Territory Managers, Trainer and/or Regional Manager.

  • Build skillset to “get past the gatekeeper”.

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen.

  • Work closely with Manager to identify territory obstacles and opportunities.

  • Proficient with ACT Program to track facility calls per territory on a daily basis.

  • Manage and meet all deadlines for any sales paperwork needed.

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with office staff when collecting PDF information for Medicare.

  • Identify and discuss local competitors.

  • Clearly communicate insurance opportunities and challenges within a given market.

  • Effectively act as a company resource within specified territory.

  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Complete all required DME training certifications in the required timeframe.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Solid sales skills while taking a needs-based approach to selling.

  • Demonstrate success in working within a team setting.

  • Ability to articulate information to a diverse audience.

  • Respond positively to coaching with a demonstrated ability to develop in the role, taking on new challenges and responsibilities.

  • Excels at multi-tasking and time management.

  • Models strong rapport-building skills.

  • Available to travel within assigned territory with overnight stays when applicable.

  • Build solid understanding of managed care.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and move about facilities and doctors’ offices.

  • Light physical effort required.

  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
