Anthem’s Diversified Business Group (DBG) is seeking a Director to join our Cross-Sell team to drive and capture new business with key existing DBG customers leading to our overall growth efforts.
Location: Any Anthem Office
The Cross-Sell Director plays a critical role in developing strategic growth plans with existing customers, establishing strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and driving new sales to achieve our DBG growth targets. The successful candidate will combine a strong understanding of the broad healthcare market with a drive to understand the voice of the customer to deliver integrated solutions to our key customers.
Primary Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Create strategic and tactical growth plans to identify, target, and secure new business with existing customers and achieve DBG’s cross-sell goals / penetration rate across our three business units.
Coordinate across DBG to drive sales expansion activities and manage and grow a robust pipeline to meet or exceed stated growth targets.
Partner with Product Development, Finance and Operations to develop solutions and pricing structures to meet the unique needs of our customers.
Act as a trusted advisor for clients, proactively identifying opportunities to address client objectives and serve as a key escalation point for critical challenges.
Drive strategic client management and planning to promote client satisfaction, retention and drive enhanced value to the client via DBG solutions.
Establish and maintain positive and long-lasting relationships with customers, employees, peers and management.
Collaborate with business unit leaders, functional teams, and sales / account management teams to achieve integrated sales goals.
Prepare updates of account status, overviews of opportunities and progress to cross-sell targets for senior leadership.
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in healthcare services, strategy, investment, sales or partnerships; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Client-facing business development, account management, and/or account sales experience in healthcare industry with demonstrated results.
Strong work ethic, results oriented and accountable; very organized and adaptable to manage a wide range of responsibilities.
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills; strong negotiation and consultative selling skills; ability to interpret and traffic feedback effectively.
Strong entrepreneurial mindset, including comfort with ambiguity, willingness to iterate, and ability to take initiative.
Superior creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Personal leadership qualities, including an ability to drive change and accomplish challenging goals by working with others
Great desire to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
