Eaton Corporation District Manager West Coast in Las Vegas, Nevada
This position is accountable to plan, direct and control the sales activities of the West Coast District to attain assigned sales objectives within acceptable selling costs.
In this position the incumbent assumes responsibility for the District Sales activities with distributors, major accounts and the closing of all major jobs within the District, personally assisting the people in securing business, where necessary.
The incumbent should have a thorough knowledge of all Electrical Products and
how to sell them. The District Manager should have considerable experience in contacting distributor management, sales planning and analysis, and in the direction and motivation of sales personnel.
The District Manager will plan, administrate, and control District sales expense. The incumbent evaluates reviews and reports in writing to the Region Manager, on the performance of each employee in the District semi‑annually, recommending changes in compensation or other action, as required. The incumbent selects trains and encourages self‑development of all personnel within the District.
Develop specific District plans necessary to execute Headquarters sales plans or to obtain a greater share of market for existing business.
Direct the selling activities of each salesperson in the District to insure performance of all sales plans, projects, and activities.
Analyze and evaluate the performance of all distribution in the District, taking appropriate action to increase sales with the proper level of distributor management as required.
Investigate all new product and market possibilities and report to the Vice President, Region Sales and the Vice President, Sales – US/Canada.
Recommend to the Vice President, Region Sales and the Vice President, Sales – US/Canada with respect to policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the District
7 years of field sales management experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Sales from an accredited university
Experience selling into electrical or heavy industrial markets
Demonstrated track record of exceeding quotas and sales targets
Strong project management capabilities
Strong leadership skills with a track record of growing sales reps into managers
Organized, detailed oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities
Exceptional listening skills and self-motivation are essential
