The primary responsibility of the financial analyst is to independently prepare and distribute both regular and ad-hoc reporting using discretion and judgement based on business acumen. Needs to understand business valuation concepts and build MS Excel based models detailing financial performance. Will lead the management team through the annual budget process. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for understanding daily operations and labor analysis/reporting for all operating units including, but not limited to Gaming, Hotel, Food and Beverage, Service Station, Retail and Entertainment.


  • Analyze monthly operating budget and prior year variances to summarizes findings and provide recommendations on improving operations.​

  • Compile information to evaluate and make recommendations for the company's on-going business and financial performance based on business market trends.

  • Analyze and produce labor optimization by benchmarking key-performance indicators to staffing needs; coupling fixed versus variable labor and understanding minimum staffing levels.

  • Assists operating managers in evaluating the financial implications of business decision alternatives by building best-case scenarios with alternatives.

  • Develop/maintain an industry statistics database to be used in comparing company operating performance and financial position to competitors. Maintains current knowledge of financial systems though training

  • Oversees the daily management reporting (DMR) process.

  • Assists property operating team in compiling periodic business and financial reviews.

  • Monitors business expenses and makes recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.

  • Prepare, review and summarize presentation of the company's annual operating and capital expenditure budget.

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or four years college education in Accounting, Finance or related field; must have two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedures manual and financial documents.

  • Ability to write routine reports.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Must have accuracy, attention to detail and well developed computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word or Word Perfect.

  • Must have some understanding of operational/industry considerations or possess skills in budgeting, financial analysis or financial reporting.
