It is the primary responsibility of Guest Experience Specialist to sell and assign rooms, register guests, determine credit, render bills, receive cash and credit payments and provide guest service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.
Welcomes guests to the property and provides excellent service upon arrival and throughout our guests stay.
Responsible for registering and assigning rooms to guests.
Provides quotes for room rates and up sells the guest when possible.
Controls and issues keys to rooms and assists in coordinating of the Front Desk and the Housekeeping Department.
Verifies correct charges and credits are posted to the corresponding guest folio.
Collects payment for charges on the guest folio.
Ensures all cash and cash equivalents are accounted for and balanced at the beginning and end of each work shift.
Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refers the matter to the Assistant Front Desk Manager.
Answers basic property questions and provides information regarding rooms, restaurants, and entertainment for the guests.
Answers multi-line phone system for guests and provides assistance when necessary.
Completes all duties in accordance with the property standards and procedures.
Performs all other job related duties as requested.
Must be 21 years of age.
At least 1 year of previous experience in similar role within a hospitality industry or similar environment.
Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
A highly motivated and energetic personality.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
