POSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Front Desk Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Front Desk to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for guests and team members. The Front Desk Supervisor will assist in resolving any guest challenges by providing exemplary hospitality service that aligns with brand and service standards. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures.

Top 5 Specific Job Functions:

  • Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service standards within the Front Desk, consistent with established guidelines/standards

  • Supervise accountability processes for the Front Desk; ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines, Company policies, established departmental guidelines/standards, and legal requirements

  • Prepare staff members for the day by creating / presenting pre-shift, providing daily numbers and statistics, and communication important information

  • Manage staff on-hand by: monitoring lunch breaks, covering shift rotation, maintaining orderly guest lines, ensuring all front desk employees are demonstrating appropriate behavior and seeing that all front desk employees meet appearance and grooming standards

  • Assist Front Desk employees in guest related problem solving

Other Specific Job Functions:

  • Confirm all front desk employees meet service standards by completing employee reviews

  • Ensure all front desk employees are trained in and are comfortable with new procedures by developing and facilitating training materials

  • Advise management of any discrepancy, potential security issue, and/or area of concern which may have a negative impact on the department/Property

  • Ensure that all equipment and work areas are kept stocked, clean, neat, and in working order

  • Perform all of the functions of a Front Desk Agent at a high level of expertise, offering technical guidance/assistance as needed

  • Perform all other job related duties as requested

Position Requirements

Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • At least 2 year of experience as a Front Desk Agent in a hotel / casino environment

  • Working knowledge of hotel Property Management System (LMS)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Able to lead and mentor a team

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms

Preferred:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree preferred

  • Additional education at the college level associated with Hotel or Business Administration

  • At least 3 years of previous supervisory experience

  • Bilingual

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
