POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, assist in the performance of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and repairs of PlayLV Gaming Operations, LLC properties, and perform general painting, finishing, coating and small drywall repair in Casino and Hotel facilities and other work necessary as required to meet company needs. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Play LV Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Position Requirements


  • Performs a variety of skilled and semiskilled tasks in the maintenance and repairs of facilities, PlayLV Gaming Operations, LLC owned equipment.

  • Responsibilities include routine and special repair, and preventative maintenance of all building facilities (i.e. Hotel & Casino) and equipment as directed by verbal or written instructions. Make minor repairs to various PlayLV areas.

  • Performs facilities maintenance duties, minor routine maintenance of equipment, simple electrical projects, spot painting, and/or light construction. Maintain building floors, walls, ceilings, windows, and fixtures. Maintains facilities, systems, and equipment in order to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable workplace.

  • Performs routine repairs and maintenance of facilities and equipment by using hand or power tools as required.

  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools.

  • Clean and care for tools and equipment.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Removal and installation of equipment; and other related duties.

  • Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve Facilities processes.

  • Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.

  • Performs work in at least one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical and HVAC for repair purposes.

  • Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. (Intermediate and Senior Levels)

  • Works with engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. (Intermediate and Senior Levels)

  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment and reports problems to the supervisor as appropriate.

  • Works with outside contractors on facilities and equipment repairs.

  • Perform light carpentry and touch-up painting;

  • Perform routine cleaning of work area;

  • Performs a variety of skilled and semiskilled tasks in the maintenance and repairs of facilities, PlayLV Gaming Operations, LLC owned equipment.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of experience performing routine maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities as described herein

  • Graduation from High School or G.E.D. Certificate

  • Basic knowledge of painting, minor plumbing, and carpentry work

  • Operation and use of a variety of light mechanical equipment utilizing proper safety precautions and practices

  • Basic knowledge of uses and purposes of tools, materials, and equipment which are used in buildings maintenance

  • Knowledge of hand tools used to perform light carpentry and minor maintenance is also required

  • Safety precautions used in general maintenance work

  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions required for successful job performance

  • Ability to read and write well enough to perform the essential functions of the job

  • Communicate clearly and concisely

  • Must read and interpret diagrams and written instructions to set up for work assignments

  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of PlayLV properties

  • Learn to operate a variety of basic building maintenance equipment, mechanical equipment, and hand tools, power tools used in buildings in a safe and effective manner. Learn to operate maintenance equipment

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others contacted during the course of work

  • Perform routine maintenance assignments without direct supervision

  • Ability to use hand tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, pliers, paintbrush, paint sprayers, drill, hand vacuum, and small power tools

  • Workaround Guests and Team Members contacted in the course of work in a tactful, courteous, sensitive and amiable manner, even in situations where relationships may be strained

  • Work in a safety-conscious manner

  • Read, understand and follow diagrams and written instructions

  • Follow verbal instructions

  • Work a flexible schedule, depending on department needs

  • Be able to access computer terminals using a keyboard, work from diagrams and schedules written on paper or a computer screen

  • One year of experience performing routine maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities as described herein and building maintenance is desirable. Any combination equivalent to experience and education which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying.

  • Sufficient basic facilities maintenance experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above

  • Experience performing this work in a Hotel and Casino environment with high public contact is desirable


  • Previous experience working in a similar setting
