Requirements: Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineer for customer projects including design, implementation, testing, and support for new deployments, expansions, environment refresh and upgrades. This includes troubleshooting for all customer environments.

  • Creates technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation plans, configurations, and change orders.

  • Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

  • Configures network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls and other security devices/appliances from multiple vendors.

  • Designs and deploys management and security control software such as Cisco ISE and Prime.

  • Provides peer reviews of implementations, configurations, and documentation for team members.

  • Assists and mentors other team members with deployment or best practices.

  • Engages in continuous learning to stay abreast on new and emerging technologies.

  • Obtain vendor-related certifications, to enhance professional development and our corporate standing with our vendors.

  • Develop and Maintain relationships with peers at vendor partners Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting, and usage of Cisco Recommended Practices a must.

  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills.

  • Strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision making skills.

  • Professional communication skills and demeanor.

  • Solid documentation experience with Visio, Word, Excel.

  • Ambitious and goal oriented, with initiative to work until job is complete. The candidate must have a working knowledge of most, if not all, of the following:

  • Spanning-tree, VTP, Port Channels, Load balancing, SPAN

  • Routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP

  • MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting

  • MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi-VRF and VRF-Lite

  • Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR

  • NAT, ACL configuration

  • IPSec and SSL VPN, DMVPN,

  • Cisco ACS for network authentication, Authorization, and Accounting

  • Cisco NAC integration with data and wireless infrastructure

  • Cisco ASA, SourceFire

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine

  • Palo Alto Other areas of knowledge and experience are as important.

  • The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Strong background in Wireless communication design, configuration

  • Configuring Lightweight and Autonomous APs, WLAN Controllers

  • Mobile Device Management

  • Cisco Aironet, WCS, Meraki

  • MobileIron

  • Load Balancing

  • F5 LTM, GSM, APM, etc.

  • Citrix Netscaler Required Experience

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree and/or 5 years of relevant network engineer experience.

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience

  • Experience that demonstrates a significant level of expertise in Networking and Cisco Products

  • Relevant Cisco or industry Certifications (Or relevant experience)

  • Requires CCDA/CCNA or CCNP/CCDP or relevant experience
