** Patient Transport - Part Time Days
POSITION SUMMARY (includes, but is not limited to)
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her
department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess
the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to
identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and provide the care needed as
described in the department’s policies and procedures.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions; provides services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
The Transporter remains calm in crisis and emergency situations, and helps directs staff members effectively and appropriately.
The Transporter maintains professional and effective working relationships with all members of the Health Care Team.
High school graduate or equivalent degree
Current CPR certificate in BLS
Hospital related experience preferred
Demonstrated experience in establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote and effective working environment
