As a Personal Lines Client Service and Office Support Representative , you would have the dual responsibility of supporting Personal Lines Client Services and front office support in the insurance industry. Duties include coordinating work within and between departments, reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, responding to inquiries or requests for information, checking the mail, scanning documents, and answering calls.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming mail, telephone calls, emails, or written correspondence from clients, mortgagees, loss payees, company underwriters or producers and provide requested information.

  • Research information requested by clients, companies, and producers.

  • Quote, bind, and service clients.

  • Compose letters to clients, companies, and interested parties as needed.

  • Answer coverage and billing questions; suggest coverage changes if appropriate.

  • Update information, document and process endorsement, claims or cancelled requests.

  • Greet clients and customers, determine nature and purpose of visit.

  • Reply to email, telephone, fax, and in-person inquiries with accuracy.

  • Maintain the office environment for cleanliness and ordering/reordering supplies.

  • Troubleshoot technology or machines, such as copiers, when needed to include working with vendors as required.

  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.

  • Receive, sort, scan, and distribute mail.Prepare outgoing mail.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in related position, preferred.

  • Property & Casualty Insurance License required within 6 months of employment.

  • Working knowledge of personal lines insurance products and services, along with the operating policies and procedures that impact those products.
