It is the primary responsibility of the Cocktail Server to expedite guest’s drink and food order and to provide beverage and bussing service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.
Respond to and resolve guest and/or employee complaints in a timely manner and creatively solve problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available on the casino floor.
Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
Complete opening side duties fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
Fulfills all cabana guest requests in a timely manner and assists guests with special requests. I.e. assist with directions on how to get to other outlets on our property, or helping out with turning on TV in cabanas or other electric appliances.
Assists with cabana maintenance to ensure all cabana features are properly operating. i.e. turning on ceiling fans, TV’s, and IPod dock to make sure they properly working.
Prepares and stocks cabanas for guests
Communicates professionally and courteously when interacting with guests and fellow co-workers.
Follows company customer service standards to ensure the highest level of guest service.
Performs all other job related duties as requested.
At least 6 months of experience as a Cocktail and/or Food Server in a similar environment.
Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
