Shine Early Learning, partners with local organizations to support the delivery of high-quality services through Shine Assist, Shine Implement, Shine Fortify, and Shine Advance programs.

We are seeking an inspired and dedicated Substitute Preschool Teacher. You will be responsible for assisting in a range of instructional, assessment and positive behavioral support strategies to ensure educational excellence in a Head Start classroom for 3-5 year-old children.

Primary Responsibilities :

This position serves as a Substitute Teacher for a Head Start center. The Substitute Teacher is called in as needed and earns $9.08/hr. The Substitute Teacher will work collaboratively with the Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a classroom of children. The Substitute Teacher also works with a team of other classroom Teachers, Assistant Teachers and family members to implement c urriculum to achieve outcomes for children of all abilities. The Substitute Teacher will ultimately be evaluated on a combination of skills, dispositions and behaviors, some of which are related to the specific service area of this position and others that represent general expectations of all Acelero Learning employees.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bilingual Spanish- English preferred

  • Pass physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen

  • Able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed.

  • Obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
