DaVita Quality Nurse in Las Vegas, Nevada


Support the development and implementation of quality improvement interventions and audits, and assist in resolving deficiencies that impact compliance with HEDIS, Medicare Star measures, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Educate providers and office staff about applicable performance measures, use of patient pursuit lists, current practice performance, recommended actions and follow-up as necessary. The successful candidate will need to have exemplary communication skills as they will be required to communicate sensitive information as well as motivate and influence providers and office staff to engage in recommended best practices.


  • Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope.

  • Contributes to and supports the corporation's quality initiatives by planning, communicating and encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation's quality improvement efforts.

  • Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

  • Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved

  • Ensuring compliance with State and Federal standards, accreditation standards, and legislation

  • Medical record abstraction

  • Analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters

  • Ensuring audit reports and metrics are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary

  • Assist Quality Director in identifying opportunities for improvement through analysis of patterns and trends

  • Participates in Quality Committees as needed

  • Work collaboratively with other departments.


  • Knowledge of Quality Management principles and HEDIS/Stars performance measures. A minimum of 3-5 years of previous clinical experience (PREFERRED)


  • Bachelors in Healthcare Related Field preferred

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Nevada


  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under adverse conditions

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent organizational, professional, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to make independent judgments and pay close attention to detail is essential.

  • Strong computer skills – proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Power point, and Adobe.
