SBA Portfolio OfficerFull TimeSalary depends on experienceThe SBA Portfolio Officer will become a key member of the SBA Servicing Team with at least 3 years of experience in SBA lending and/or commercial lending or similar with familiarity with the SBA program, loan servicing, portfolio management, financial analysis, tax analysis, excellent communication skills, team oriented, self-motivated, goal oriented, adaptable to changes, willing to contribute and demonstrate flexibility within a fast paced environment. The SBA Portfolio Officer Career track is dynamic and highly marketable based on the various duties covered by the position. Primary responsibilities are defined below and not all inclusive and is subject to change based on management decisions regarding the needs of the SBA department and/or Bank of George.Requirements:Bachelors degree from a 4 year college or university in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred or 5 years+ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Commercial Loan and/or SBA Loan Servicing experience preferred. Strong analytical skills. Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Time Managements Skills. Strong Microsoft Excel and Word Skills (Minimum 2 years working with these programs). Strong Adobe Acrobat Skills (Minimum 2 years working with this program). Ability to problem-solve (Identify issues and provide plausible and efficient solutions). Must be team oriented and work well with others. Monitor and complete a comprehensive annual review of each existing SBA loan including property value research, business and personal financial analysis, credit analysis, lien perfection, industry comparisons and identify any risks and mitigating factors and recommended loan grading. Obtain the Portfolio Manager and Chief Credit Officers approval of the annual loan review within 90 days of the loan anniversary date on an annual basis. Review Ticklers for all newly closed and funded loans within 30 days after loan boarding. Follow for SBA Financial Ticklers and SBA Document Ticklers including quarterly customer letter requests. And keep system ticklers up to date and maintain accuracy with appropriate verbiage as defined by SBA Departmental Tickler Instructions for entire SBA Portfolio. Insure that SBA portfolio tickler letters are mailed out on a quarterly basis. Complete and approve a pre-closing audit for new and/or existing loans prior to closing for the processing team when requested. Follow for outstanding post-closing audit exceptions track by the Loan Servicing Group. Assist in preparing new and/or existing SBA loan files for SBA and/or other regulatory audits. This includes clearing any potential exceptions prior to an audit exit review. Answer and service existing SBA client calls and/or requests from internal or external customers. Assist in monitoring, collecting and tracking required insurance coverages shown as exceptions by the third party insurance tracking company on the SBA Portfolio including required Mortgagee Clauses, 30 day notice language and other SBA required language. Analyze insurance coverage(s) for sufficiency. Assist in performing SBA client servicing requests including SBA eligibility determinations, bank policy compliance, other bank regulatory compliance determinations and obtaining necessary bank and SBA approvals per each servicing request.
