Western Alliance Bank Security Guard in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Security Guard will assist the Security Guard with guarding the Operations Center; maintaining security and maintaining the main gates insuring only authorized individuals are allowed on the property. The incumbent will guard against any potential safety and/or security problems and report all irregularities to appropriate Bank personnel or authorities. Maintain high standards of courteousness to employees, customers and visitors. The position will be unarmed.

  • Guarding the Operation Center and maintaining the Main Gates

  • Insuring only authorized individuals are allowed on the property

Monitor main gates using surveillance from the Command Center

  • Identify and admit armored cars through main gates and into Bays (1,2,3) as needed

  • Assist the Supervisor(s) in clearing secure areas by monitoring the clearance via cameras

  • Identify and admit authorized vendors onto the property as needed…FexEd, UPS, Tahoe Water, equipment repairmen, guests, etc.

  • Issuing Access cards to new employees/vendors as needed

  • Guard against theft and maintain security.

  • Respond to alarms and calls of distress within the Operations Center.

  • Stop suspicious people and ask for identification.

  • Provide lunch coverage relief for other Security Personnel as needed

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of two (2) years experience as a security guard or one (1) year experience in law enforcement.

Ability to lift upt to 75 pounds sitting.

Knowledge of the Hirsch Security System preferred (otherwise will be trained)

Must have good attention to detail, and be able to cope with emergencies on a moment's notice.

Must have excellent attention to detail.

Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations preferred

Possess basic operational knowledge of of security and safety practices.

Basic skills in personal computer operation.

Typing skills to meet production needs of the position.

Courteous social skills to service customer, visitors and employee needs in a business environment.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety periodicals, professional security journals, safety/security policies and procedures.

Basic math skills.

Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, understand procedures, write correspondence, and speak clearly to customers, visitors and employees.

Ability to deal with problems involving multiple facets, variables and situations where only limited standardization exists.

Effective organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work with minimal or no supervision while performing duties.
