WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior CADD Designer for our Las Vegas office. Our growing team in Las Vegas is excited about the future in our industry and is looking for an energetic candidate to lead some of the area’s most exciting project opportunities! The successful individual will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented professionals delivering transportation and infrastructure projects within the region. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual that would like to continue to grow their career while working on a variety transportation, local, municipal, and water resource projects. Team leadership and supervision is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee varied and complex computer-aided drafting and design work
Provide competency in computer assisted drafting to support development, planning, transportation or other technical services
Develop standards and symbols to meet specialized needs of a particular project
Generate roadway, structural and traffic design; survey; and construction drawings, etc
Prepare various design options on the screen and on hard copy
Perform varied design and quantity calculations
Prepare layouts, drawings and design from rough or detailed sketches and/or drawings
Redesign, modify, or edit existing design
May be responsible for design tasks of large projects under engineer in charge
Develop and mentor team members

High school diploma plus two years specialized technical drafting, math, and computer training
Formal CADD training preferred and a minimum of ten (10) years CADD experience
Proficiency in Project Wise, MicroStation, Inroads, and Civil 3D design software skills
Desire to be a leader, mentor, and teacher
Very good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
Knowledge of and experience with Las Vegas area projects
Experience on projects with Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and/or Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) oversight
Alternative Delivery (design-build) experience
