The primary responsibility of the Sr Manager – Data Science & Analytics is to become a key business partner, while establishing and executing the vision and strategy, provide leadership and formulate innovative business intelligence solutions across the Company.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Become familiar with all aspects of the Company’s global operations.
Establish and execute a vision for the delivery of business intelligence information and analytics solutions to key stakeholders.
Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards to drive key business decisions.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
Design, develop and maintain scalable automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support analytical and business needs.
Analyze key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues, while developing alternative solutions for consideration.
Develop narratives that are derivatives from analyzing business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations.
Work closely with various stakeholders globally to define the information needed and how best to present it.
Recommend and build new metrics and analysis that enable better perspective on business efficiencies and guest satisfaction.
Design and develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards, scorecards and reporting for the team and present insights to stakeholders.

Company Standards of Conduct
All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
21 years of age.
Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
7+ years of progressive experience in data modeling, ETL, data warehousing, and transformation of large-scale data sources using SQL, Redshift, Oracle, or other Big Data technologies with 5 or more years of programming experience with Python and/or R.
Large hotel, hospitality, gaming resort experience strongly preferred.
Advanced skill in data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight or similar BI tools.
Ability to distill problem definitions, models, and constraints from informal business requirements; and to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives.
Experience partnering with business owners directly to understand requirements and provide data to support pattern observations and spot anomalies.
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Ability to provide data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Strong attention to details and excellent problem solving skills.
Strong technical and analytical skills to analyze various business problems.
Ability to learn and adopt new technologies.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
