DaVita Sr. Manager of Contracting in Las Vegas, Nevada

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

This position services as an integral member of the Contracting Department. This position will report directly to the Director of Contracting and will assist in developing the strategic direction and management of the day-to-day contracting activities.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Master’s Degree required or will substitute five years of large national payer contracting experience as Contracting Department Manager

    Experience

  • Must have at least five years of national payer contracting negotiation experience

  • Must have at least five years of writing contract language experience including gainshare and pay for performance

  • Must have at least three years of specific work experience in capitation and risk agreements

  • Must have intimate knowledge of managed care financial analysis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with formal presentations

  • Superior problem solving, decision-making and negotiating skills

  • Able to use PC software and multiple programs

  • Team player with prove ability to develop strong working relationships

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, analyze, review, and project financial impact of contracts

  • Negotiate complex contract terms

  • Negotiates complex contracts and effectively manages the negotiation process

  • Track financial performance of contracts and ensure compliance with contracting guidelines

  • Ensures compliance with company’s contracting policies/procedures, and the smooth operation/administration of provider agreements

  • Manages other projects and duties as assigned

  • Provides contracting guidance

  • Build and maintain relationships with community providers

  • Responds to provider inquires, concerns, complaints and assist in resolving elevated and more complex provider service issues

  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information
