SLS Las Vegas Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk in Las Vegas, Nevada

Clerks are responsible for the verification and audit of all data entered through the Accounts Payable system, maintaining vendor documents and files, and resolving any vendor and department issues.

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

  • Answers phones, screens and handles routine vendor issues

  • Coordinates with departments and to obtain appropriate approval on invoices

  • Inputs data of invoices due for payment

  • Prepares the corresponding checks for approved invoices and distributes to vendors

  • Updating and maintaining vendor database, files, and documents

  • Directs and distributes incoming inquiries and incoming work requests

  • Monitors and directs the work of lower-level clerks

  • Trains other staff members to perform work activities

  • Manages competing priorities in a timely and efficient manner

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Accounts Payable is required, with previous experience for a Hotel & Casino being desired

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms

  • A professional demeanor and attire is to be maintained at all times

  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to working independently with little to no supervision

  • Must be able to perform in a team environment

  • Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership

  • Must have exceptional time management skills

  • An proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is required
