Mission Support and Test Services, LLC Kinesiologist (Health and Fitness Specialist) in North Las Vegas, Nevada


Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field or equivalent training and experience. Preferred experience in personal/group fitness training, ergonomics, functional movement, or a combination of all.

  • Certifications in fitness training, ergonomics, or health promotion a plus

  • Must possess planning/organizational skills to ensure that duties are completed in the most efficient and timely manner

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be flexible and able to deal with multiple tasks, frequent interruptions, and deadlines

  • Willingness to work at and travel to remote work location(s)

  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language proficiently

Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) a prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration, has an immediate opening for a Kinesiologist, which includes health/fitness promotion and ergonomics/human factors. Work location is in Las Vegas, NV and Mercury, NV. U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.

  • Work under general direction

  • Work directly with a licensed provider to establish the functional movement requirements for employees applicable to their job duties, environment, and safe practices, as well as, conduct analysis to establish the physical attributes an employee must have to perform their job duties

  • Directly responsible for activities related to the ergonomics program. Conduct office evaluations to determine compliance, provide employee training on proper work practices as they relate to body mechanics to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and collaborate with departments to provide guidance in the correct selection, adjustment and use of work tools, equipment and furniture

  • Work directly with the Health and Productivity Coordinator to facilitate ongoing efforts in the area of stretching, mobility and group fitness events.

  • Assist in planning and executing strategies to promote employee health and well-being. Implement programs that focus on physical activity across the lifespan that promote the advancement of health promotions while addressing the health and wellness needs of the company.

  • Engage the workforce in lifestyle modifications and physical improvements that will enhance their overall health and productivity

  • Plan, develop, and teach health and fitness education classes and presentations
