Groups: Recover Together Business Development Manager in Remote, Nevada

Groups Recover Together was founded in 2014 to make treatment for opioid addiction respectful, accessible and affordable. We empower our members to regain control of their lives through a combination of community support, outpatient weekly group therapy and medication to manage withdrawal using buprenorphine and naltrexone.

What differentiates Groups is the belief that long-term recovery from opioids is tied to aspects of life that are beyond the reach of traditional medical care. We approach fighting addiction as a team sport and provide each member with a care team that works together to ensure our members receive comprehensive, coordinated care. Our outpatient model is designed to fit into our member’s schedules so they can keep working and living a normal life. As a result, our outcomes reflect the success of our model and the commitment of our members with 73% remaining in treatment after 6 months, 90% attending group therapy each week and 89% abstaining from illicit substances each week.

Groups has grown to become the national leader in value-based care for opioid use disorder that is proven to help our members beat addiction and get their lives back. We have over 5,000 members seen weekly via our fully virtual care model and have physical locations across the country with additional openings planned in 2021.

At Groups, the Business Development Manager will report into the Commercial Organization and manage the community network, in/out referral network locally, and brand awareness for multiple locations across the state. This role will cover our western markets.

  • Become an expert in Groups mission and treatment model. Effectively articulate what makes Groups unique/differentiates us from competitors to diverse target audiences (healthcare professionals, criminal justice, payers, case managers, etc.).

  • Drive census growth in territory offices. Identify, develop, and build a community network and pipeline of business/referral opportunities (e.g., hospitals, correctional facilities, churches).

  • Maintains a regular servicing schedule that organizes a balance of referral partner maintenance (e.g., ensuring they're still referring to us and have up-to-date information) and new business development (finding new sources).

  • Create and maintain a network of healthcare referral sources (both referrals in and out) in order to increase referrals and improve the resources for Care Navigators. Work with Care Navigators to identify gaps in our current out-referral network.

  • Ensure new office openings are properly marketed and see the expected Census growth in initial months after openings.

  • Attend presentations and local or regional conferences/events to increase community awareness for Groups & when necessary, bringing clinical/operational leaders when necessary.

  • Work closely with internal team including market-level operational lead and clinical director in developing strategy for driving overall network growth across assigned territory.

  • Identify, develop, and build a community network and pipeline of business and referral opportunities (e.g., hospitals, correctional facilities, churches).

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • BS/BA required and 2-3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/medical healthcare or related field.

  • Proven track record of successful relationship building and territory/sales growth.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high growth, mission driven organization.

  • Experience working with grassroots marketing in multi-location organization.

  • Ability to track and analyze local community KPIs.

  • Strong ability to communicate across different levels of the organization, across business units and with external participants

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and own transportation to travel to multiple offices.
