SUMMARYUnder direct supervision, the Inside Sales role consistently delivers excellent service to all customers. The Inside Sales role assists with the day-to-day operations of a Kelly-Moore paint store. This role contributes to the sales, gallon and margin growth performance objectives of the store.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESi Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills using the Signature Service Standards.i Assists customers with the selection of paint colors and sundry products through the point of sale.i Prepares and/or contributes to the processing of operational and sales documents.i Accurately handles payment transactions, including cash and charge verifications, following company protocols and obtaining required approvals.i Delivers orders to meet customer requirements while complying with Kelly-Moore Paint Companyis driving agreement.i Accurately follows receiving procedures; unloads and stocks incoming inventory.i Accurately tints paint and eye matches color.i Complies with the requirements of a retail store schedule, which may include working shifts beginning early in the morning; works weekends and holidays as required.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITESi Double checks all orders- colors, products and quantities, etc. to ensure accuracy.i Helps to maintain paint and sundry inventories to required levels.i Helps to maintain company standards for store appearance, including the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the store.i Helps to maintain company merchandising standards for store appearance, window and sales floor displays, promotional displays, etc.i Assists Store Management to ensure store meets all operational parameters and goals.i Completes all required training in a timely manner.i Complies with all Kelly-Moore Paint Company policies and procedures.i May perform light maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and dusting. May clean restrooms as needed.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSi Age requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.i Frequently kneels, stoops, crouches, bends, climbs, reaches overhead, pushes, pulls, and grasps.i Works around heat, cold, dirt, dust, and minimal paint odors.i Uses electronic point-of-sale device and scanner.i May be required to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.i Accurately distinguishes colors.i Operates powered industrial equipment, including tinting and shaking equipment.i Frequently carries, relocates and/or lifts up to 70 pound cartons and containers (including 5-gallon paint containers).i Operates a fully loaded (280 lbs.) hand truck and/or cart (1120 lbs.).i Stands and walks on concrete surfaces for up to 8 hours per day.QUALIFICATIONSi Excellent customer service skills.i Valid driveris license, a safe driving record and the ability to operate a variety of vehicles including vans and flatbed trucks.i Successful completion of the company driveris safety and defensive driving courses as required.i Ability to work under direct supervision and follow oral and/or written instructions.i English language skills, including a level of reading comprehension, and written and oral language conventions ordinarily attained by receiving a high school diploma or equivalent.i Math skills of number sense, measurement, and geometry, and math reasoning as are ordinarily attained by receiving a high school diploma or equivalent.i Broad knowledge of the application and use of paint and sundries is preferred.
