Job Description
Under the immediate supervision of the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Materials Coordinator is responsible for issuing parts to work orders in the ERP system, staging materials to transport into the clean room, reconcile work orders to maintain accurate inventory counts.
Other responsibilities may include:
Kit Work Orders as scheduled by Production Control. Stage Work Orders waiting for incoming parts. Place kitted work orders in proper routing area for pick-up and movement into the clean room.
Investigation of inventory discrepancies and correct accordingly.
Verify entries on the Material Move Sheet to insure correctness of entries.
Rectify Shop Order discrepancies.
Produce labels and label incoming goods as required by manufacturing prints or department procedures.
Daily participation in cycle count requests to ensure inventory accuracy.
Verify all material transactions for validity and accuracy.
Qualifications
Must have working knowledge of products and shop order flow.
Familiarity with inventory control systems.
Must be computer literate.
Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
Must have general knowledge of production procedures.
Position requires exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Education and Experience
Must have High School diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years' experience in stock room / machine shop environment.
