EVENTS SPECIALIST II - (Seasonal Temporary Positions)
This position is exempt from the Civil Service System as a temporary assignment.
THIS POSITION IS LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 6 MONTHS EMPLOYMENT. MAY WORK UP TO 40 HOURS PER WEEK. (Temporary position without benefits).
The Arts, Culture, and Special Events Department is seeking to fill two temporary Event Specialist positions to work at various Special Event venues to assist in keeping the areas clean.
Essential Functions
Tasks include:
Following direction from team lead
Monitors event venue conditions and resolves discrepancies
Provides trash pick up and removal
Enforces policies, rules, and regulations
Assists in set up/dismantle
Provides light maintenance
Interfaces with permit holders and event producers
Monitors attendance
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Previous experience in recreation/park/event programs helpful.

Environment: Outdoor field environment; travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment; to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to lift, carry and push. Occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
