SUMMARY: Under general direction, the store manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, creating and maintaining an environment that is conducive to the needs of professional painting contractors and do-it-yourself/do-it-for-me retail customers. The store manager provides effective leadership and management so that the store can meet its operational objectives such as to customer service, revenue, gallons sold, inventory management, gross profit margin, and operating profit. This position supervises, coaches, and develops store staff so they can effectively perform their responsibilities, be accountable for their results, and progress in their careers where possible. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS:

• Collaborate with sales team to meet customer needs. • Demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service skills. • Promptly and effectively resolve store-level customer service issues. • Maintain paint and sundry inventories to acceptable levels. Implement and monitor inventory, security, loss prevention, and safety procedures. • Maintain company and/or regional merchandising standards for store appearance, window and sales floor displays, promotional displays, etc. • Ensure that transactions, receipts, and bank deposits are handled correctly. • Ensure that the store opens and closes on time. • Interview, select, train and assess staff. Apply the appropriate level of coaching and supervision (e.g., general, direct, intermittent) that will enable staff to consistently provide great customer service. • Schedule staff and approve time off requests and timecards. • Schedule and deliver product training to staff. • Ensure that employee relations issues are promptly and equitably resolved by working through District Operations Manager and/or Human Resources. • Participate in required training. • When necessary, eye match colors, tint paint, and deliver merchandise. • Consistent with an exempt position in a retail environment, time commitment may include work during off hours, evenings, and/or weekends. PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequently carry, relocate and/or lift up to 70 pound cartons and containers (including 5-gallon paint containers). • Operate a fully loaded (280 lbs.) handtruck and/or cart (1120 lbs.) Stand and walk on concrete surfaces for up to 8 hours per day. • Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, climb, reach overhead, push, pull, and grasp (occasionally to frequently). • Use electronic point-of-sale device and scanner. • Work around heat, cold, dirt, dust, and minimal paint odors. • Operate a motor vehicle. • Operate tinting and shaking equipment. • Accurately distinguish, coordinate and eye match colors.
