Responsibilities
Purpose
The Quality Supervisor leads, trains, and directs the manufacturing site operations to assure products and processes comply with regulations, specifications, contract requirements and quality system standards within the assigned plant.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 5am - 2pm, with flexibiltiy to provide coverage when needed on night shift.
Responsibilities
Assure all quality policies and procedures are followed onsite.
Tests quality, packaging, labeling specifications on product coming off the end of line for accuracy.
Trains and coaches operators on the line and ensure they are able to understand test methods, specifications for accuracy, and comprehension.
Audits product, packaging and labeling before shipments to deliver the product to the customer with zero returns.
Works closely with the Warehouse and Production teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects to drive cost savings.
Supervises the shift when the production and warehouse management team is not present.
Support corporate metrology equipment calibrations.
Capabilities:
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, see, hear and communicate
Occasionally required to stretch bend climb or balance
Occasionally required to move up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally climb towers up to 35 feet high
Qualifications
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
3 years minimum knowledge/experience with blown film extrusion manufacturing in a quality role preferred
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and complete work
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Good Math skills and experience measuring and use metrology equipment
Excellent analytical skills required
Knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences
Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train and perform other functions associated with leading and managing a group
